SANTA CLARA, Calif., February 22, 2005 – Passave, the leading provider of passive optical networking (PON) semiconductors for fiber to the home (FTTH), today announced the addition of semiconductor industry expert Nadav Ben-Efraim to the management team. In a career spanning a broad range of advanced technologies such as voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), cable and satellite set-top boxes, and digital signal processors (DSPs), Ben-Efraim has demonstrated noteworthy success in strategic development of both large established companies and start-ups.

Ben-Efraims experience includes senior marketing positions with LSI Logic Consumer Products division and Silicon Spice, which was acquired by Broadcom Corporation for 1.2 billion during his tenure. Subsequently, Ben-Efraim led marketing for Broadcoms new line of VoIP products, securing design wins with major telecom vendors. Passave will benefit from Ben-Afraims strong technical background which includes multiple VLSI chip designs at Xicor and LSI Logic. Ben-Efraim holds a B.S. (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University in Israel and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
