Oplus Technologies to Show Advanced Processors, Technologies & Solutions for Flat Panel TVs at CES

Demos and presentations include display & video processor solutions, reference designs, and new generation image enhancement technologies.

CES, Las Vegas, January 6, 2005 – Oplus Technologies, Ltd., a leading provider of innovative systems-on-chip and software solutions for Flat Panel TVs and digital displays, today announced that it will show its extensive array of solutions for Flat Panel TVs, integrated DTVs, and digital projectors at the CES 2005 exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 6-9, 2005 (booths #36172 & #36173 South Hall 4).

With a tightly packed schedule of invitation-only presentations in its CES meetings rooms, Oplus is making the most of the opportunity to reach its large base of existing customers, as well as many potential new customers. Oplus’ main focus at CES is to demonstrate its new FPTV reference designs that offer display manufacturers a wide range of compelling, proven ways to quickly and cost effectively get to market with advanced FPTVs and iDTVs.

CES will also mark the introduction of the SHARKa Image Perfecting Engine by Oplus, a comprehensive suite of advanced image enhancement technologies. Previews of SHARK will highlight some of the innovative capabilities of Oplus’ next generation processor solutions, which are due for release this year. SHARK creates a new standard in overall image quality by pushing the envelope for true color reproduction, adaptive contrast enhancement, sharpness, noise reduction and motion adaptive de-interlacing.

Most Promising
Oplus comes to CES fresh from being named one of the five most promising growth companies in Israel. The prestigious award, presented at the Tamir Fishman & RBC Capital Markets’ Sixth Annual Israeli Technology and Life Sciences Conference in mid-December, placed Oplus in first place in the semiconductor category.

“Our longstanding focus on superb image quality, matched by the reliability of our products and our high standards of service, has already proved itself a winning combination,” said Yair Alpern, CEO of Oplus. “Now, with these new technologies and multiple new products in the pipeline, Oplus is well positioned to significantly increase our share of the FPTV market.”
