Industry Experts Named To Lead New Office in France, Augmenting Strong UK and German Sales.
Fort Lee, N.J March 16, 2005 — Leading SSL VPN vendor Whale Communications today announced that it has expanded its European presence, officially launching offices in France.
Whale’s increased presence in France builds on its continued success in Europe where it is used by leading enterprises to bolster productivity through secure, cost-effective remote access. This announcement comes as analysts forecast strong growth in the SSL VPN sector in Europe. Synergy Research Group, in a report on the remote access market issued by senior analyst Aaron Vance, earlier this month forecasted that in the SSL VPN space Europe would grow to $55 million in 2005, representing over 23 percent of the worldwide market share.
Industry expert Saadia Essoudry will head Whale’s office in France, leading a team of veteran networking-security specialists in delivering Whale’s SSL VPN solutions. Essoudry brings more than 18 years of experience in the networking and security fields to Whale-Sec, Whale’s French office.
“We look forward to providing best of breed technology combined with a high quality of service and local support so that French enterprises can enjoy the benefits of mobility and remote working,” said Essoudry, Managing Director of Whale-Sec. “We will capitalize on the strong market demand for secure remote access emerging in France.”
Leading enterprises worldwide have selected Whale’s solutions to provide remote access to their employees, partners and customers from any web browser, any time. Whale’s clients include EDF Energy, IMERYS, Virgin Atlantic Airways, E.ON Group, Hasbro, Alea Group, DLA and Superdrug.
“Whale is seeing consistently strong market demand across Europe for our solutions and in particular in France,” said Daniel Steiner, Whale’s president. “Launching our office in France augments our already strong presence in southern Europe, ensuring that we will be able to meet the aggressive market growth that Europe is experiencing in this sector.”
To mark the occasion Whale-Sec, together with HP, SFR and Computacenter, is hosting a panel on secure remote access solutions. The event takes place on March 17 at Grande Arche, La Defense, Paris and features experts in the field, including Gerard Bidal (GBC Conseil), Herve Greff (Solucom), Didier Rutmann (Adanet Consulting), Philippe Bonnet (Ipelium), Jean-Pierre Renonce (Computacenter) and Gilbert Farina (HP), who will be speaking and answering questions.
