with Selection of gen-i as Value Added Reseller Partner gen-i to Distribute Web Application Security Company’s Award-winning e-Gap Product Suite
Sydney, Australia, July 1, 2002 – Whale Communications today announced that it has partnered with leading Internet integration company gen-i Australia to resell the web application security company’s products, expanding its presence in Australia and New Zealand.
gen-i joined Whale’s partnership program after winning an e-business security project in a well-known Australian company. gen-i found that Whale’s e-Gap e-Business System best answered this customer’s needs for secure e-business, and was awarded the project after offering Whale’s solution.
“Whale’s e-Gap products give our clients greater protection as they move to allow their employees, customers and business partners more secure remote access to company resources,” said John Bessey, gen-i General Manager Australia.
In addition to reselling the e-Gap product suite, gen-i will also provide services including integration, technical training and support.
“A key factor in our decision to resell the e-Gap product line, in addition to its giving the utmost in security, was its ease of use and integration, “said Mr. Bessey. “We are continually looking for best of breed solutions and Whale’s products are a perfect fit for our clients needs.”
Whale Communications’ solutions enable businesses to rapidly deploy web-based access to corporate network resources. By centralizing and offloading necessary security functions, Whale’s e-Gap e-Business System significantly reduces project deployment cycles and associated costs.
Along with the need for the e-Gap e-Business System, gen-i and Whale are seeing a heightened interest in Australia for Whale’s e-Gap Webmail Appliance which allows companies to give employees secure access to corporate email and other collaborative applications at anytime from any web browser.
“We are happy to be adding such a distinguished company as gen-i to Whale’s global team of consultants, resellers, and integrators who are working to deliver to their clients the best in web application security,” said Whale’s President Daniel Steiner.
