Former McAfee and IBM Executive, Rick Brown, to Drive Whale’s Market Share Expansion in the Americas.
Fort Lee, NJ, February 13, 2006 – Whale, the leading provider of Intelligent Application Gateway solutions, today announced that Rick Brown has joined the company as senior vice president of sales, Americas. In this role, Brown will be responsible for driving the company’s sales revenues across the region.
Brown brings with him an extensive executive, sales and operations management background with expertise across security and networking sectors. Most recently, Brown served as SVP of the Worldwide Systems Integration Group and North American Telecom Group at security company McAfee®, Inc. where he built a worldwide team that increased revenue by more than 30 percent within a year. While at McAfee he also held several other high ranking positions including SVP Professional Services and SVP North American Sales for the Sniffer and PGP Divisions.
Prior to McAfee, he worked in several healthcare technology companies, as division president at Health Management Systems, business unit leader at Oxford Specialty Management, and chief operating officer at Coastal Physician Services. Brown also spent more than 14 years at IBM in leadership positions in sales and process reengineering consulting.
