Eran Barkat joined BRM in 2008 and leads the firm’s early-stage technology investments, bringing extensive experience as a generalist investor across a wide range of companies, stages, and business models. At BRM, he has invested in and served on the boards of dozens of startups, including Moovit, which was acquired by Intel in 2020.
Prior to joining BRM, Eran was an Investment Manager and Principal at Israel Growth Investors (IGI). Earlier in his career, he worked as a software developer.
Eran served as a senior officer in the IDF, holding a variety of command and leadership roles, including Battalion Commander and Chief of Staff in Unit 551.
Eran holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an MBA from Bar-Ilan University.
