Collaboration Yields 4G LTE Certification with Verizon Wireless
CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 10, 2012 — Ecrio, the leading provider of real time communications client software solutions for the mobile industry, announces the successful integration and certification of Altair Semiconductor’s FourGee(TM) LTE chipset and Ecrio’s Mobile Communications Client Suite (MCCS). This combined solution signals readiness to meet operator demand, accelerate the availability and reduce the cost of launching new connected devices on 4G LTE networks.
Built on the robust, modular and scalable FlexIMS architecture, the MCCS solution has been successfully launched on multiple operator networks and smartphone devices, and will be expanding into a growing range of mobile and connected 4G LTE device types including LTE machine to machine (M2M) devices and home gateways.
“This is a significant operator validation milestone of the successful integration of Ecrio’s FlexIMS based client software into our global FourGee chipset portfolio,” said Eran Eshed, Co-Founder and VP of Marketing at Altair. “Ecrio’s pre-certified software, documentation and solid technical support enabled the Altair team to accelerate the integration and certification process. Our strong partnership with Ecrio feeds into our differentiation in improving time-to-market and reducing the cost associated with new machine-to-machine (M2M) and 4G LTE devices.”
“We applaud our strategic partner Altair’s significant milestone of achieving Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Chipset certification and demonstrating leadership in commercial ready 4G LTE chipset platforms with pre-integrated IMS client solutions,” said Michel Gannage, Ecrio co-founder and chief executive officer. “Ecrio is committed to working closely within the 4G ecosystem to support Chipset, ODM and OEM vendors in accelerating their LTE product certifications and deployments with operators.”
